Mainly because people like that just got lucky, their parent had connections and got them into the business to terrorize people.

Sometimes very simple songs happen to have very catchy tunes.
Just because you don't like doesn't mean it has no value. People once said the same thing about rock'n'roll. So quit ranting.
Okay, I'll answer your little ';question';. It is your opinion that the music is false. Who are you to say what is real and what is not? It is your opinion that the singers have no talent.





I love Keyshia Cole, Brandy, most types of trance music, Fantasia, and certain contemporary rock. But then again, since you haven't even given any of it a chance, you wouldn't know Keyshia Cole from coleslaw.





Speaking of false images, do you watch movies or TV? Do you read magazines? If you do, then that can be considered ';false';. The actors are airbrushed, the advertisers are lying through their teeth about their products etc. That's entertainment for you. People are looking for an escape from reality, not actual reality so there's going to be an elements of falsity and a ';larger than life'; aura.





Just let people listen to what they want.
its not really about the music anymore.Its about image and catch phrases.





There are a bunch of songs out that are completely idiotic and simple minded but people love them because of the person performing it.If they look cool and they have a catchy phrase then people will flock to them.





I think a part of it also is what is what other people like.If someone famous likes a certain artist and they mention it on air then alot of people will start to listen to that artist not because they really like them but bcause its the cool thing to do.
Well, I am a little too old to know whats ';hot'; right now, so provide some examples of what you think is talentless, and what musicians you feel are deserving of the title ';talented'; and not playing up to an image.
Because it's still music..its different to everyone. It doesn't matter what type it is. I like hip-hop, pop and a bit of rap because i just do. I know some of them don't mean anything but it's really fun to dance to.
