i see charlotte church out in cardiff and she looks incredibly rough compared to the regular women in cardiff-bad skin and big ears which aren't obvious from magazines. i am not saying looks are everything-most defintely not, it's always personality and being loving that counts. i just think it's very unfair that women are out there-especially young girls, comparing themselves to false computer generated images. there should maybe be some statement like '; this image is not representative of real life and has benn computer generated';Who thinks airbrushes should be banned or at least the magazine should state the image is false?
Definitley,, I am 13 years old, and i always feel depressed when i see models, and magazine pictures, it makes me feel fat and ugly, once i stoped in for a week, on a diet, and using spot cream!! anything to look better and feel better lik the pictures in the magazines. But now i have learnt to just accept yourself for what you are, and if others dont like it, they dont like it, its not up to them how you live your life. i know some of you are thinking,, how can she know all this at just 13?!?! but i was very depressed because of this xxWho thinks airbrushes should be banned or at least the magazine should state the image is false?
that would be annoying to have to read that on every magazine page. i see nothing wrong in photoshopping pictures to make people look their best.
people like to see glamorous things in magazines and tv and movies. i know i wouldn't want to open a magazine and see a bunch of regular looking people with acne and other things that could have been edited out. people WANT to believe that there is such a thing as perfection.
there is plenty of real beutiful girls out there, a lot hotter then the ones in magazienes i wouldn't look twice at kate moss if i saw her in the street.
it would be good if they had to have some kind of warning or ban as it would mean we would get some real photography and ladies.
i think maybe those young girls should just be educated or intelligent enough to kno what is done in a mag i much prefer looking at the girls in them they r more pleasing to the eyes its kinda common sense u dont see ppl like that on the streets ever so y would u think people actually look like that
I think that it is up to the parent's of these teens to tell them that it's a false image. Parents should make sure there teens are aware and informed of the false images that the media portrays. It is the parents responsibility to inform their children of the false illusions society creates.
I believe that the fashion, magazine and TV industry will never have to list any fine print below their picture perfect photos. It would be nice to see a statement saying this image has been edited for perfection. Sadly that will never happen.
I know. It creates a false image of how the actual person looks like. If we (average people) can't edit our photos. For example, Britney Spears new poster for her new fragrance. That's a bad perception of what is considered beauty to young girls. Young girls compare themselves to these so called celebrities with the skinny figure, long beautiful hair. Your not beautiful if your not skinny and that's not right!
Hi exactly, nearly ever photo you see if a celeb is airbrushed, these can totally change everything on a person, I myself for get about that when I see a celeb. But like you said we shouldnt compare ourselves and remeber that.
I said to my husband a while ago before we were married , that all the celeb women he fancys dont even look like that in real life, and he was shocked the first time I told him there are all airbrushed to high heavan. Even in films they have some sort of people to make them look good.
There is probably people out there that are not celebs that look way better than actuall celebs which have had nothing done to them.
The way I see it if you dont look in magazines for a while you dont care what you look like, but when you do all sorts go through your head. I dont read them anymore, I think they should be banned
